Jim has studied Martial arts for over 30 years and has been teaching Yang Family Tai Chi for 17 years. He is also a NVQ qualified instructor. Jim has a thorough and in-depth knowledge of both health and martial aspects of Tai Chi
Many people who may have seen Tai Chi practiced may not be aware that its origins come from the Chinese internal martial art systems. Beginner courses focus on the health aspects of Tai Chi, learning health softening exercises and the Yang Long Form.
For more advanced students, we are very fortunate to have Jim’s knowledge of the martial aspects of Tai Chi and there is an opportunity within the club to train in these disciplines.
